How to Bookmark Pages on Any Browser

Bookmarking is a useful tool for anyone that browses the internet frequently. Rather than relying on your Frequently Visited pages, try bookmarking your favorite web pages and articles to easily find them again. Don’t know how to bookmark a page in your current browser? We have you covered. 

Internet Explorer

  1. Go to the webpage you want to bookmark.
  2. Select the NzOoiwAhZTJLyeldwk5Q1-rHWPXCxzDNTcVDAHFb1V5ZVKXwVzBhOwxEtnlB_HUqqL3kqAuvI7ugOpbzemWWANdV1jNJjjdmvFw1L97tRT8uzs7lR9-3jwu2zwi2RjzaacMiqreN icon on the far right side of the address bar, or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + D.
  3. The window that opens will ask you to name the “favorite” (or bookmark).
  4. Choose a folder from the dropdown menu labeled ‘Create In.’ (This is the folder where the bookmark will be saved).
  5. Click ‘Add.’

Microsoft Edge

  1. Go to the webpage you want to bookmark.
  2. Press Ctrl + D or select the Gq0xye8pPU04l4q-qCcGCrJXN8mB6FgtjbaxgudZUsTGpi1-I5-0fAd_KVMr6uITdewFRh7dfekGBuhf-KA1PstLsFXFa4kj5ONt4UneRkKuYtoJ2s4hT8HyMr_iJc7sCvR2CDhP icon from the far right of the address bar.
  3. A menu will appear; name the bookmark.
  4. Choose a folder from the dropdown menu labeled ‘Save In.’
  5. Select ‘Add.’

Safari

  1. Go to the webpage you want to bookmark.
  2. Click ‘Bookmarks’ on the toolbar at the top of the screen.
  3. Select ‘Add Bookmark’ from the dropdown menu.
  4. From the menu that appears, name the bookmark and choose a folder to save it in.
  5. Click ‘Add.’

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Go to the webpage you want to bookmark.
  2. Use the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + D.
  3. A menu labeled ‘Edit This Bookmark’ will appear.
  4. Name the bookmark and choose the folder to save it in.
  5. Click ‘Done.’

Google Chrome

  1. Go to the webpage you want to bookmark.

Opera

  1. Go to the webpage you want to bookmark.

  3. A pop-up menu will appear; name the bookmark and choose a folder to save it in.
  4. Click ‘Done.’

These are the most common web browsers you will encounter, but the process is generally the same for any browser. If the bookmark does not work, try bookmarking the home page of the website instead of a specific subpage. It’s also possible the page you previously bookmarked has changed addresses or been deleted.
